30 Days to Growth

At any moment, whichever blog, website, product, or goal you’re currently working to develop is only 30 days away from a major breakthrough. If you were to use today as the starting point, how would you measure real, solid growth 30 days from now? What could you do to grow?

In the eyes of your visitors or customers, your growth is most often validated when you start to do things that separate you from the league that they currently perceive you to be in. In most cases, this means something other than what you’re already doing. You see, your visitors will grow used to the way you run your business or website… in the beginning, your consistency will be enough to start to build their trust, but if the consistency transforms into a routine that fails to demonstrate any real growth, then you may find yourself stuck on a plateau with no exciting results.

Why is it important to demonstrate growth to my audience?

What you would like to do is get your audience to start equating you with a higher class or league in your industry. When someone looks at you thinks of that higher brand, then you’ve experienced a breakthrough. Of course, your newer audience may not immediately see the difference, but the people that are familiar with your blog or product should be impressed with your recent effort and results.

How can I show that I’ve grown?

Changing the routine is a good way to get people’s attention. When you start to do something that you’ve never done before, your audience should recognize that. Here’s where you’ll want to show that you’ve increased your association to include recognizable names from your industry, or that you incorporate better tools and resources to enhance your user experience. For bloggers, incorporating elements to your blog that you normally see only from experienced and professional internet marketers, such as email lists, pod and video casts, and seasoned guest authors make the kind of statement to your audience that something bigger than normal is happening on your front.

30 days from now…

Whenever you’re ready, buckle in for 30 days and start your next phase of growth. Start finding ways that you can change things up a little to break the routine, and get outside of your comfort zone a bit. I’ve always found that I accomplish the most when I’m outside of my own zone of comfort. Try to grow in a way that’s “results-oriented” as opposed to “task-oriented”, and really drive progress in your new growth so that your audience will notice the difference. You should also notice the difference yourself.
