Automate with BackupMyBlog

I just wrote about removing distractions. Bloggers, here’s a great way to remove something from your plate that you know you should do on a regular basis… and no, I’m not talking about brushing your teeth.

BackupMyBlog will automate a remote daily backup of your entire blog database. They’ll host the backup on their servers, and you can also restore your backups from within their site. This is fantastic news for bloggers who would rather be focusing on producing content and building traffic… housekeeping is important, but who wants to do it?

Service with BackupMyBlog is free during the beta period. There’s no telling how much the service will cost once it’s out of beta, but I would generally chalk this expense up to the “cost of doing business”.
