Check out Texter by Lifehacker

I previously reported in my article, Firefox Extensions that I can’t live without, that I use the signature extension for Firefox to to insert long strings of text so as to avoid continuously typing the same strings over and over again.

I amend that endorsement now since I’ve just discovered the Texter application at Lifehacker. With Texter, you can accomplish the same thing without taking your hands off the keyboard, plus you can include keyboard macros and use special operators to paste in the contents of your clipboard. Texter works like a dream for replacing HTML tags, since you never have to worry about forgetting to close a tag again.

Here’s a video from Lifehacker showing the basic Texter function.
