Do bloggers need business cards?
If you’re a blogger who’s working to build a professional image, you might consider adding a professionally designed business card to your arsenal of promotional tools.
A business card conveys a couple of messages to the person you give it to… most importantly, it shows how serious you are about what you do, whether your blog is a business or a hobby. While blogging is certainly popular and recognizable to a lot of internet users, it still hasn’t attained a mainstream recognition. I come across people to this day who associate blogging with social applications like MySpace and Facebook… I understand the correlation, but I’ve had to get good at explaining what I do so that people don’t misunderstand my business for something less serious.
As a promotional tool, business cards can be used to inspire new visitors and build traffic. Since I’ve been networking offline lately, I’m certain that I’ll find my new business cards invaluable for leaving prospects a way to visit my blog without having to read my name off of a cocktail napkin or something else that makes me look completely unprepared and unprofessional… although I’ve done it, and maybe you have too.
Business cards aren’t tremendously expensive to design… you can get away with spending less than $100 for a design that matches your theme (spoiler!), and printing is even less. I think it cost me $49.99 for 1000 double sided cards from Overnight Prints.
If you think you might like business cards for your blog, I can refer you to the designer who created mine. Let me know!

Hi Chris,
Many times I’m in the opportunity when I wish have a name card for my blog.
I do know that some people associate blogging as if you’re antisocial or running away from reality, but on the other hand I felt that blogging is really a great way for people to learn and share their knowledge to one another.
I came across many networking and business opportunity meeting or seminar where I do find some great people, and I actually also see that they’re pretty interested to know that I’m a blogger, I guess they’re actually pretty much interested in internet marketing.
Name card is very useful and it’s somehow the feeling as if I’m having a business, something I’d like to promote, and how it can benefit others.
Looking forward to make some action on that, please let me know the designer you have.
And btw, I hope you received my trackback, looking forward to win your contest =), anyway I’m really inspired by your post, hope I’m making a right step to approach wider range of readers in my blog.
Thanks for sharing!
Robert

Very nice cards. I should do a post on the evolution of my card designs. Over the years my cards have changed very often. My latest set focus on my blog/personal name and branding.
