It’s Affiliate Summit West!

I landed in Vegas this morning at about 830am for Affiliate Summit West… the flight was smooth and on time. Alaska Airlines unfortunately lost the suitcase I checked with them, so I’m curious about what I’ll wear to the “Meet Market” later tonight. I’ll be able to check into my room at the Rio around 2pm today, so I’ll hit the shops and pick up an outfit if the airline doesn’t recover and deliver my things to the hotel by the time I’m ready to head down and “Meet”.

The “Meet Market” is a networking event that precedes the actual Summit, which starts tomorrow. After the Meet Market is a cocktail hour here at the hotel, and later tonight is the Share-a-Sale party at the Palms hotel. Apparently, the party at the Palms is by invitation only… however, I’m hoping to leverage my press pass a little bit and sweet talk my way into this exclusive event. Cross your fingers for me!

Monday is the first actual day of the Summit… the agenda for the day holds a keynote speech, two different breakout courses, a luncheon, and another networking party, Affiliate Bash at Tao, one of Las Vegas’s hottest nightclubs. There should also be time on Monday to explore the exhibit hall and meet some vendors and exhibitors.

On Tuesday, I’m looking forward to attending a panel called “Super Affiliate Strategies that Work”. John Chow and Zac Johnson, two marketers that I really admire, will be taking questions from the audience, so I’m excited to see the two of them presenting on the same panel together.
