My 10K Day
I published 99 Headline Techniques Revealed early this morning, and it caught on fire with StumbleUpon users and wouldn’t slow down all day.
I set a goal on December 4th when I wrote 30 Days to Growth that I would reach 1,000 page views in a single day. Until now, my biggest day had clocked in at 761 page views (almost a week ago).
Proving popular with Stumblers, 99 Headline Techniques attracted enough visitors to generate over 10,000 page views throughout the course of the day. I suppose I overshot my goal a little bit.
Here’s a screenshot of the affair at around 11pm.

I just gave it another stumble. Very cool!
Thanks, Mike. I’ve still clocked another 1,000 or so page views in residual Stumble traffic the next day. It’s been very exciting.
Well done Chris! That’s a lot of traffic and by the way that article was great
Your hard (and very good) work paid off.
Good for you!
Chris,
Congratulations! What a great accomplishment–and a great post! You certainly seem to have captured the most intriguing words and phrases to use in headlines–the ones that pique the reader’s curiosity!
Thanks for visiting Writer’s Notes!

Congrats - I’m so happy for you! Don’t you just love StumpleUpon traffic? I’ve read that some folks don’t think it’s “sticky” traffic but my experience shows otherwise. I still get traffic from posts Stumbled weeks ago.
